Oregon City is the oldest city west of the Mississippi River. Located at the end of the "Oregon Trail", it is rich in museums, historic homes, and buildings. Oregon City is the county seat and home to Clackamas Community College and Willamette Falls Hospital. Residents number 28,964, making it the fourth largest city in Clackamas County. Located at the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers, the town is strategically situated near I-205 and State Highways 99E, 43, and 213. Major employers include Clackamas County Government, Clackamas Community College, Willamette Falls Hospital, Smurfit Newsprint Corporation, and PED Manufacturing.
